Our Role
The Good Food Mercantile is a one-day, human-scale gathering of like-minded crafters and merchants. Hosted in and around the stunning showrooms of Heath Ceramics and Charles’ Chocolates in San Francisco’s Mission District, the Mercantile is open exclusively to Good Food Awards Winners and Finalists of the last five years and their peers in the Good Food Merchants Guild. Vendors will showcase their products to a broad community of quality-focused retailers with whom the Good Food Awards has strong, long-standing relationships. To ensure a robust group, we are working closely with the Good Food Retailers Collaborative on the guest list. Making certain that all 300 anticipated buyers are committed to supporting responsible American food producers.

Project Details
To celebrate five years of the Good Food Awards, Seedling Projects is proud to launch the first Good Food Mercantile, the ‘un-trade show’ for tasty, authentic, responsible food. While traditional trade shows convene tens of thousands of buyers, the vast majority are not prepared to work with businesses whose core aspirations don’t include unbridled growth, and smaller companies can find themselves lost amongst a sea of thousands of booths. The Good Food Mercantile is a different kind of gathering - it is an opportunity for thoughtful, responsible American food crafters to connect with a growing community of retailers that value quality, care and craftsmanship.
